As I’m sometimes asked about it, I thought I’d briefly remark on the subject of credit repair.
What I’ve generally observed is that: if a clarification can be made (as to information about you, your obligations and adventures…within the credit reporting bureaus…) you can probably make it yourself.
It may well be arduous, brain-numbing, etc., but, you’ll only call, write, yell at, forgive and ultimately come to terms with the same people, policies and channels your ‘credit repair specialist’ would, on your behalf.
I’m occasionally told by borrowers of promised miracles, how debts, collection actions and derogatory entries can be made to vanish – guaranteed, within a brief time span – for a fee.
But, I’ve never seen any such accomplished – that the borrower themselves couldn’t have accomplished, by simply soldiering through.
None the less, if you have a particular issue along this line and you are concerned it could hamper your obtaining of desired rates and terms, please feel free to give a shout. (before hiring a professional to take your medicine for you 🙂
